REBIRTH is Inevitable Fashion SHow
In 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Cierra Fogle on an unconventional fashion show right here in Cincinnati, Ohio. We transformed a junkyard into a runway and curated an event that celebrated the talent of six local fashion designers. Our goal was to showcase their creativity while promoting sustainable fashion practices on a shoestring budget.
The event took place outdoors, under the open sky, lending a raw and authentic atmosphere to the occasion. We brought together over 70 models, designers, artists, and vendors who shared our passion for upcycled fashion and community engagement. It was more than just a runway; it was an immersive experience where attendees could explore vintage clothing stalls, participate in a mending and sewing corner, and admire an innovative art show.
It was a true celebration of homegrown Cincinnati tenacity, skill, and talent.
Organizing this event was a labor of love, and seeing it come together with such positive energy and enthusiasm was incredibly rewarding. It reinforced our belief in the power of creativity and community to drive meaningful change in the fashion industry.
Looking back, I'm proud of what we accomplished with Cierra and our team. This event wasn't just about showcasing fashion; it was about fostering connections, promoting sustainability, and celebrating the vibrant artistic community here in Cincinnati. I have never seen a fashion show like it. It was raw, real, and immediate. I can't wait to see how this experience will inspire future collaborations and innovations in our local fashion scene.
